Number 4 Lacrosse Player Selected for England

Jane Brierly (No.4) was selected for the Centex squad to representEngland Under 19 at the \'b\' team tournament in the Home Internationalslast Sunday in Cardiff.

England v Scotland was an excitinggame and a close one too. England was always in the lead, but only bytwo goals at half time (9:7). A talented Lacrosse player, Jane hadmore contact with the ball during the first half, sending out some goodclearances to reliable and energetic receivers. A good defensiveperformance from Jane in the second half helped to secure an overallwin for England 14:10.

Jane, aged 16, said "I found the wholeexperience amazing - singing \'Land of Hope and Glory\' and hearing thecrowd chant \'England\'. Even though I was incredibly nervous at thestart I felt extremely proud to be playing at this standard for mycountry."
